‘Tis the season to be bombarded with gift guides on social media. Don’t fret! This won’t be like those typical ones because this one is crafted by the one and only, Cafe Lulu. I like to think I have really good taste in things, scents, and possibly clothes too. But my parents would disagree. Earlier this week my mom called me to let me know that her and my dad think I have a terrible sense of style. Thank you! That is the point.
Korres Eau de Toilette Black Pepper
We are starting off STRONG. I am definitely a perfume girly. My preferred scent profile is woodsy, leathery, and honestly, quite masculine-leaning. I remember even in high school I would think that the options from Bath & Body Works were too much for me. However, I do love an occasional floral like Boy Smells’ Rose Load — which I have gotten lots of compliments on! Now that you know what my olfactory interests, this Korres scent is closely similar to the bombarding scent of every single Abercrombie store in America. And if you’re like me and you used to collect the bags and put them in your closet to make your closet smell less of mothballs and more of hot sexy Abercrombie models, this scent is for you!
Its base notes of cedar, cashmere wood, and amber musk make this an absolute must in the Cafe Lulu day-to-day scents. I have been eyeing this eau de toilet for a while and lucky for me, I found it in a store in Williamsburg. I sprayed it on my wrists and the smell stayed with me all day.
Toucan Kitchen Shears
How the heck can something be so cute…I mean LOOK at it. These Kikkerland toucan kitchen shears can be for anything your heart desires in the kitchen — or the office, who cares, they’re cute! They are also magnetic for you to place on your fridge.
Rumi Palestinian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Yes, olive oil is an exceptionally thoughtful present to the home chef in your life. I would be jumping for joy at the thought of something gifting ME olive oil but I know that can’t be the case for everyone. With that being said, please assess your relationship with the gift-ee as the gift-er and make sure they would like this.
While I haven’t personally tried this olive oil yet, it’s been at the top of my list since forever. Rumi Tree partners with Palestinian farmers across 43 villages, upholding fair trade principles that prioritize transparency, fair compensation, and the preservation of Palestinian heritage.
Korres’ Santorini Grape Volcanic Skin Reset Mask
This gift guide is NOT promoted by Korres but I can’t help but naturally promote their products. This face mask was gifted to me by my friend,
, and I actually cannot get enough of this stuff. I have looked far and wide for a mask that gives me a noticeable difference in skin texture and brightness and I’m happy to report that this does both. My preferred form of application is on dry skin before a sauna session or 15 minutes before a shower.Othership Day Pass
Othership is like DMT. You get everything you need in a short amount of time. I discovered this place through a promoted ad on Instagram and decided to check it out with Cafe Lulu regular, Stephanie, and we had a TIME. You can book a free-flow or guided pass that allows you to use their facilities for 90 minutes. It’s an extremely straightforward process. There’s a lounge area, there’s a sauna, and there’s cold plunges. Also there’s tea in the middle. If you opt in for a free-flow, you get to freely-flow throughout the space. If you book a guided pass then your experience is attached to a guide who will talk you through the sauna and cold plunge session. Either is fine but I think I preferred free-flow more, only because I go to a sauna to yap and it’s a little annoying when a man tells me what to do and how deeply to breathe in. The Flatiron location is incredibly clean and vibe-y. Plus their incense is out of this fucking world and dear Stephanie got me a pack for Christmas <3
I hope you gift these items to the Isabella in your life and let me know what they think! That’s it! That’s the post. I hope to one more Cafe Lulu post before the year ends but if that doesn’t happen….
I’d like to thank everyone who keeps up with the mayhem happening at Cafe Lulu. I started this when I was seriously unemployed as a means to keep myself busy. And it surprisingly worked! Creative writing is something that I’ve always wanted to explore and starting a blog was one of my 2024 goals. I feel extremely accomplished with everything I have gotten out there in the world and it’s such a great feeling to know others like it as well.
Omgggg love that you love the KORRES mask so much!!yayyy✨
Waitttt I need to go to othership with you
